A Trip to TN

The kids are on winter break this week, so Ruben took the day off of work so we could do something fun as a family. We decided to head to the Children's Museum in TN. The boys have been there once, but this would be Lily's first trip. The museum is quite large and has a lot of interactive activities. The boys were so excited to show Lily around.

Tyler was the only one I could talk into posing with the statue. We started in the water room. Michael would have stayed there all day if we would have let him!
Alex loved the interactive computers with the touch screens.

Lunch break

Digging for dinosaur bones in the sand pit.

If you look in the case next to Alex, you will see a tarantula! Everyone who knows me knows I do NOT like spiders!!! It even freaked me out to take the picture. Alex, on the other hand, was talking about the tarantula on the drive up and couldn't wait to see it!

The outside area had a giant chess set.

When we came in the summer, we didn't really get to play with the outside equipment. It's on a rooftop which is just too hot in August. This visit though, we were able to spend a lot of time outside. I even tried my hand at the hula hoop! (sorry.....no pictures were allowed!)

Towards the end of the day, Tyler and Lily decided to take a break in the story room.

Another fun family trip. The kids all really enjoyed their day, and it's always fun to share new experiences with Lily. They are already asking when we can go back!

The Littles

Lily decided she wanted pigtails today. Isn't she cute? She was so excited and couldn't wait for daddy to get home so she could show him. One of her favorite sentences is, "......daddy comes home and I show him"
Who is that masked man? Michael insisted on not only wearing the mask, but also mittens.....and it was not cold out! He's quite the character! I had to chase him around the driveway with the camera because he refused to pause for a picture!

A Trip to the Grocery Store

Lily decided she want to wear her princess dress to the grocery store. Well, the other 2 certainly couldn't be left out. They ran around the house looking for something to wear. Before I knew it, I was shopping with a princess, fireman, and football player! Lots of smiles at the store today.
